OVERVIEW

Heavy-Duty Industrial Power with CrossLinc Technology

The Lincoln Electric Flextec® 650X Multi-Process Welder Ready-Pak (K3511-1) is a comprehensive welding solution designed for the most demanding industrial environments. At the core of this package is the Flextec 650X power source, a robust inverter-based machine capable of delivering up to 815 amps of welding power. It is rated for a continuous 650 amps at 100% duty cycle, making it ideal for thick structural steel, heavy equipment fabrication, and cross-country pipeline work. The unit supports a wide array of processes including Stick, DC TIG, MIG, Flux-Cored, and Carbon Arc Gouging with carbons up to 1/2 inch (12.7 mm).

This Ready-Pak includes the LF-72 Bench Model Wire Feeder, a heavy-duty feeder known for its reliability and consistent wire delivery. The system features Lincoln's proprietary CrossLinc® Technology, which enables full voltage and amperage control at the wire feeder using the standard copper welding cable. This eliminates the need for additional control cables, reducing cable management issues and increasing durability on the job site. The machine is built to withstand harsh conditions, boasting an IP23 rating for outdoor weather resistance and a Desert Duty® rating for operation in temperatures as high as 55°C.

Connectivity is a key strength of the K3511-1. Beyond CrossLinc, it is compatible with ArcLink® digital communication feeders and standard across-the-arc wire feeders. The user interface is streamlined for efficiency, featuring a simple process selection knob and weld schedule memory to recall frequently used settings. This package provides everything needed to start welding immediately, including the power source, wire feeder, gun, cart, and necessary cables.

FAQ

The K3511-1 Ready-Pak includes the Flextec 650X power source, LF-72 Bench Model Wire Feeder, Magnum PRO Curve 400 gun, inverter and wire feeder cart, work lead with clamp, flowmeter/regulator with hose, and input power cord.

CrossLinc Technology allows for voltage and amperage control at the wire feeder using the standard welding power cable, eliminating the need for a separate control cable between the power source and the feeder.

The Flextec 650X is rated at 650 Amps / 44 Volts at 100% duty cycle and 750 Amps / 44 Volts at 60% duty cycle.

Yes, the Flextec 650X is capable of carbon arc gouging with carbon electrodes up to 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) in diameter.

This model requires 3-phase input power and supports voltages of 380V, 460V, or 575V at 50/60Hz.

Yes, it has an IP23 rating for protection against weather and a Desert Duty rating for operation in temperatures up to 55°C (131°F).

The Flextec 650X itself is a CV/CC machine. For pulsed MIG capabilities, it must be paired with an advanced ArcLink-compatible feeder like a Power Feed series model, though the included LF-72 is a standard CV feeder.

The LF-72 heavy-duty feeder is designed to handle solid wires from .023 to 1/16 inch and cored wires from .030 to 5/64 inch, depending on the drive rolls installed.
