At the heart of this system is the AlumaPower 350 MPa power source, capable of Synergic Pulsed MIG welding. This mode communicates with the wire feeder to automatically adjust pulse parameters as wire feed speed changes, ensuring a stable arc and reduced spatter. Furthermore, the exclusive Profile Pulse™ technology allows welders to achieve the distinct "stacked dimes" appearance associated with TIG welding, but with the travel speeds and productivity of MIG. This is ideal for applications where aesthetics are as critical as structural integrity, such as in boat building or aluminum truck bed fabrication.
Feeding soft aluminum wire through a standard MIG gun often leads to birdnesting and downtime. This package includes the XR-AlumaFeed™ and the XR-A Aluma-Pro™ 25-foot air-cooled gun. This true push-pull system synchronizes the motor in the feeder with the motor in the gun, maintaining constant tension on the wire. The 25-foot reach allows welders to work on large assemblies without moving the power source, significantly improving shop efficiency. The system is optimized for .035 and 3/64 inch aluminum wires, covering a vast range of material thicknesses.
Miller has equipped this unit with Wind Tunnel Technology™ to prevent abrasive dust and particles from damaging internal components, and Fan-On-Demand™ to reduce noise and power consumption.
