The Capture 5 utilizes exclusive ZoneFlow™ technology to create a negative pressure zone that extends the capture distance up to five feet deep and four feet wide. This is achieved by moving clean, filtered air out of the arm at a 90-degree angle, creating a "curtain" of air that funnels weld particulate toward the center suction intake. This expanded capture area ensures compliance with ACGIH recommended weld fume transport velocities while maintaining 900 CFM of airflow.

FilTek® XL Filtration and Automatic Cleaning

At the core of the Capture 5 is Miller's proprietary FilTek® XL Filter Technology. Unlike common cellulose filters that trap particles in the depth of the media (leading to rapid clogging), FilTek XL utilizes a surface-loading nanofiber media.
