OVERVIEW

Advanced Virtual Reality Training for Modern Welders

The Lincoln Electric VRTEX® Transport™ + Dual User (K4633-1) represents the cutting edge of vocational training technology. Designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and the welding booth, this virtual reality welding simulator offers a highly realistic, immersive experience that builds muscle memory and technique without the consumption of raw materials. The "Dual User" configuration is a game-changer for educational institutions and training centers, allowing two students to practice simultaneously on a single unit, effectively doubling classroom throughput and maximizing equipment ROI.

Realistic Puddle Physics and Feedback

Unlike basic simulators, the VRTEX system utilizes advanced physics-based algorithms to render a welding puddle that reacts dynamically to the operator's movements. The visual and auditory cues mimic real-world welding, including the sound of the arc and the appearance of the bead. The system tracks critical parameters such as travel speed, work angle, travel angle, contact tip to work distance (CTWD), and aim. Upon completing a virtual weld, students receive an instant score and visual analysis, highlighting areas for improvement. This immediate feedback loop accelerates the learning curve significantly compared to traditional methods where analysis might happen only after a weld is cooled and cleaned.

Multi-Process Capability in a Portable Package

The VRTEX Transport is designed for versatility. It supports simulations for SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW (Flux-Cored) welding processes. The included universal gun (Uni-gun) allows students to switch between processes seamlessly. Its tabletop design is compact and portable, making it ideal for traveling educators, recruitment events, or classrooms with limited space. Despite its smaller footprint compared to the VRTEX 360, it delivers the same high-quality simulation engine that Lincoln Electric is known for.

Cost-Effective and Safe Learning Environment

One of the primary advantages of the K4633-1 is the elimination of consumable costs. Schools save thousands of dollars annually on steel coupons, welding wire, electrodes, and shielding gas. Furthermore, the virtual environment removes safety hazards such as UV radiation, fumes, and heat, allowing beginners to focus entirely on technique without fear of injury. The system includes the "VRTEX Weldometer," a feature that tracks virtual material usage and calculates the monetary savings realized by using the simulator, providing tangible data for budget justification.
