The Easy-Flo 35% Silver Brazing Alloy is a specialized filler metal designed for industrial joining applications where versatility and low-temperature performance are paramount. Formulated with a composition of 35% silver, along with copper, zinc, and cadmium, this alloy (commonly associated with the AWS BAg-2 classification) is engineered to provide a free-flowing braze at significantly lower temperatures than non-cadmium alternatives. The inclusion of cadmium is critical to its metallurgical properties, depressing the liquidus temperature and enhancing the wetting action on a wide variety of base metals, including steel, stainless steel, copper, and brass.

One of the defining technical characteristics of Easy-Flo 35 is its substantial melting range (the difference between its solidus and liquidus temperatures). Unlike eutectic alloys that transition instantly from solid to liquid, this alloy passes through a semi-solid or "plastic" state. This physical property makes it exceptionally suited for applications where joint clearances are not uniform or where tight fit-ups cannot be maintained.
