The Exocor ER409Nb is a specialized ferritic stainless steel TIG welding rod designed specifically for joining Type 409 and 409Ti base materials. The addition of Niobium is critical as it preferentially forms carbides, preventing the formation of chromium carbides along grain boundaries.
